Terms of Service - SMS/Text Messaging

Thank you for choosing to receive SMS text messages from Xavier Catholic Schools ("we," "us," "our"). By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to the following Terms of Service ("Agreement") governing your use of the SMS messaging program.
1. Opting In and Consent
By indicating your preference to receive SMS messaging through PowerSchool (or other third-party platforms sanctioned/contracted directly by Xavier Catholic Schools) and providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Xavier Catholic Schools, including informational messages, updates, alerts, and other communications, directly to your mobile phone. Consent to receive these messages is not required to enroll in or use our services.
Users may opt-in to receive SMS alerts from Xavier Catholic Schools by updating preferences in PowerSchool. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring messages from Xavier Catholic Schools, which may include SMS alerts sent in the event of an emergency, schedule changes/cancellations due to weather, or other factors that may impact any or all Xavier Catholic Schools and/or Early Learning Centers.
2. Frequency of Messages
The frequency of SMS messages may vary based on the nature of the messages being sent. SMS alerts will be reserved to be sent on an as-needed basis to Xavier Catholic Schools families, faculty, and staff in the event of an emergency, schedule changes/cancellations due to weather, or other factors that may impact any or all Xavier Catholic Schools and/or Early Learning Centers. You will receive messages on an as-needed basis related to school events, announcements, and other important updates. You can expect to receive periodic messages during the school year.
3. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Depending on your mobile service provider and plan, you may incur charges for SMS messages, including message retrieval and data usage. Please check with your mobile carrier for rates and terms related to receiving text messages.
4. Opting Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Xavier Catholic Schools at any time by texting "STOP" to our designated shortcode or number. After you text "STOP," you will receive a confirmation message indicating that you have been unsubscribed from the SMS program. Please note that unsubscribing from SMS messages will not affect your ability to receive other communications from us, such as email or postal mail.
